Places to visit in Mallorca
Majorca or Mallorca, however you prefer to spell it, is the largest of Balearic Islands. For many
years Mallorca has without doubt been one of the most popular holiday destinations for all
nationalities, offering a wide range of attractions to suit all tastes.
Alcúdia
There are a number of excursions that can be done in Alcúdia: you can walk lonely paths and
discover unsuspected beautiful landscapes. Those who are fit can partake in the numerous
excursions into the mountains, which are marked so that you can benefit from the wonderful
scenery and local flora and fauna. There are other, not so difficult walks either on foot or
by bicycle. Free leaflets can be found in the Tourist Office. Do not forget the boat trips
which allow you to enjoy the coastline, with its many coves and corners that are only accessable
by sea.
Sóller - where Mallorca is the real Mallorca
Your paradise close at hand. In order to make a holiday an unforgettable experience, the most
important thing is to choose the ideal place. Which do you prefer? A marvellous beach or the
relaxing quietness of the mountains? Undoubtedly the best would be combination of both and that
is exactly what you will find in Port de Sóller and its surroundings.
Porto Colom
Safe haven throughout time for seafarers plying the Mare Nostrum, Porto Colom is one of the
best natural harbours in Mallorca. Only eleven kilometres from the town of Felanitx, it is
one of the most picturesque corners of the Island. The Mediterranean character, the seafaring
spirit of the place, its traditional artisan work, its close attachment to the land, its local
dances and its regional cuisine make Porto Colom well worth a visit.
